James Thompson (USA - sax/voice) born in Cleveland (USA), during his long concert activity he share stage and applauses with JOE COCKER (tour in USA, Canada and Japan), EDWIN STARR, THE PLATTEERS and to record over 25 LPs.

In the 83 ht moves to Italy where start to play with ANDY J. FOREST and ANDREA MINGARDI and then with ZUCCHERO that chooses him as soloist sax and background vocalist for the recordings and the tours in Europe of "Blues", "Oro incenso e birra" and for russian tour from which produced the wellknown tv show "LIVE In Moscow" transmitted in Eurovision.

Really appreciate session-man, has "lent" its sax also to TULLIO DE PISCOPO, SPAGNA, RICKY PORTERA, LADRI DI BICICLETTE, ROBERTO CIOTTI, to the Stadio (band of Lucio Dalla) and Paolo Conte: currently he collaborates again with ZUCCHERO.

In the execution of Jazz, Soul, Blues and Rhythm' & Blues licks his style, thus influenced by J. Coltrane and M. Breker, results very personal, incisive and particularly recognizable.
