The program shows the best manouche tradition, drawing inspiration from the great gypsy guitarist DJANGO REINHARDT and proposing some of his most beautiful songs.

In the program appear different original licks, some swings waltz of clear taste musette, other compositions of manouche musicians (Tchavolo Schmitt, Matelo Ferret), and songs linked to the tradition Italian swing.

Maurizio Geri
Guitarist from Pistoia, has deeping collaborated with Caterina Bueno (Tuscania traditional music). Component of the quartet Riccardo's Tesi BANDITALIANA. His style on guitar melts the thematic tied up to the Mediterranean ethnic music with the liks and the improvisation of the music swing-manouche.

Leonardo Boni
Italian/American, he frequented the Berklee College of Music, he collaborated with Duke Robillard, Ronnie Earl, James Thompson, Sax Gordon. In 1990 formed with the drummer L.Giometti the DIXIE JAM BAND, with whom he perfomed all over all Italy (Pistoia Blues, Porretta Soul, Umbria Jazz). His great passion for manouche music and his powerful rhythmics are revealed conclusive for this project.

Luca Giovacchini
Classical guitarist deepens the studies of the Afro-american music. He begins in 1991 different collaborations with numerous Blues Band. He plays with "Piano C.Reed" to the Maxweel Street Blues Festival 1995 Chicago ILL (USA); among his various collaborations there are artists as Frank Frost, Robert Lee Burnside, Michael Coleman. He played with the trio Organic Groove and with the Michael Allen Band, from the '99 collaborated with the singer songwriter Marco Panattoni with whom he won the 6° edition of the Ciampi Prize. From 2002 he is an official member of the Big Band of Barga Jazz directed by the teacher Bruno Tommaso. From the '94 to the '02 have developed didactic activity near her "civic school of music" of the commune of Capannoni (Lucca).

Daniele Mencarelli
Hestudies acoustic bass at the conservatory of Perugia with teacher Silvio Bruni. Despite his young age (1974) he play numerous important collaborations like Gabriele Mirabassi, Riccardo Tesi (CD "Thapsos" with BANDITALIANA) and different cd like with Battistat Lena, Giovanni Mirabassi and Louis Moutin. He also participates, with Riccardo Tesi and Maurizio Geri, to the last production of the city of Pistoia "Acqua, Foco e vento" recently included also in some newspaper.
